Last post before lunch. I put it down in my notebook and meant to share it earlier on but have been too busy to translate that into Chinese, let alone writing a full story. I have a point to make here. So a couple of months ago a colleague over-promised a client. It is hard to resist that temptation of over-promising when you know it is going to bring super super good business. As a sales myself I understand that. Now I am not saying it is a good thing to over-promise. It's bad. Or even unethical. But since the promise was made I wanted to make sure we could deliver. As a result, the whole team worked so hard and sacrificed a lot with the pure hope to make it happen. At last, we did it. The over-promising, or the wrong decision if you insist on that definition, finally led to good business and some very sweet rewards. The point is, sometimes we need to do the wrong thing to make the right thing happen.
